Please welcome our new chef ...Tara Pietroniro

There is a rich sophistication surrounding Montreal, Quebec. Lush majestic landscapes and extraordinary culture lead provincial borders to both Vermont and New York; an intricacy of infusion...and the true home of our new lux Chef Tara Pietroniro.

Our staunch perfectionist and Montreal native moved to Chicago in the winter of 2009 to accompany her fiancé and expand her culinary prowess. Here we take great pride in quoting her, 'I am at once, truly fortunate, to have traveled the world and seen some of the finest markets, privy to some of the most exquisite foods imaginable. It is a great honor to lend my culinary vision to the prestige of the windy city.'

Her extraordinary experience is vast... lending itself to none other than a 'stage' at 'The Fat Duck, London.' Awarded three Michelin stars, countless excellence awards to the head chef and owner Heston Blumenthal, "The Fat Duck," is considered one of the finest restaurants in the world.

As a first impression, the contemporary boutique styled dining at Nia reminded Tara fondly of London and Montreal. 'As a chef, I adore a quaint, small setting to explore amongst my patrons. My Italian heritage and the traditions taught to me by my Grandfather, afforded my penchant for the intimacy that is experienced between great food and wine...with this in mind I look forward to dazzling our exclusive clientele.'
